Crickets are a nutritious and natural addition to the diets of many animals. They are easy to use and are a wholesome livefood which help to provide the protein and roughage animals would naturally acquire in the wild.

Crickets are suitable for bearded dragons, blue tongue lizards, geckos, other reptiles, turtles, chickens, ducks and other poultry, fish such as cichlids, barramundi and oscars, wild birds, spiders, scorpions, millipedes, centipedes and othe insect eating animals.

Crickets are also lively and the thrill of the chase brings out the natural hunting skills of captive animals which also provides enrichment.

How to Feed: If desired dust your crickets with Calcium, then grab a cricket with your fingers or stainless steel feeding tongs. If they are too fast, you can place the cricket tub into the fridge for 5 minutes before you want to feed, it will slow the crickets down a bit. (Do not leave them in the fridge).

Only feed enough crickets that will be eaten immediately. Sometimes, escaped crickets may make a home for themselves in your animals' enclosure and may possibly damage lizard eggs or newly hatched birds during darkness. Some people prefer to have a separate smaller terrarium (e.g.Cricket Keeper) to place their animals in when they feed crickets. This can make it easier, especially for babies or the elderly, to catch their crickets before they run away and hide.

Cricket Care and Storage: MiniBeasts Pisces Crickets should be provided with fresh Aquaload and Gutload every few days. These water and food sources should be constantly available to maximize the longevity of the crickets and provide maximum nutrition to your animals.

Gutload is eaten by the crickets and then consumed by your animals before the cricket digests it providing a valuable boost of protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals in addition to the nutrition in the cricket itself. This makes the crickets "Gutloaded."

Crickets prefer to be between 25ºC to 30ºC. Avoid poisonous fumes, pesticides and cleaning supplies near crickets.
